Welcome to the Task Force Coordination Group!

This idea emerged from our recent change meeting held on 2/2 where we discussed the all-member meeting, AATA’s continued response, and, most importantly, how we can ensure our collective asks are not only heard, but meaningfully acted on.

The purpose of this group is to begin thinking through what a task force could look like, how it would function, and how it could help manage and move forward the many pieces of the petition and related follow-up. This is very much a brainstorming and idea-building space, and all perspectives, experience, and questions are welcome.

Some early ideas already circulating include:

  • How members of a task force would be determined (e.g., volunteers, voting, etc. and explicitly not appointed by AATA)

  • Compiling and maintaining a clear, centralized list of our collective asks to AATA

  • Drafting expectations or requirements for AATA, such as:

    • Regular (e.g., monthly) meetings with the task force

    • Ongoing updates on policy changes and implementation

    • Clear processes for reviewing and responding to member feedback

This is a very early and evolving idea, so please feel free to share anything and everything: ideas, concerns, relevant experience, examples from other organizations, or questions we should be asking. Nothing is too formed (or too unformed) at this stage.

As always thank you for your continued work as we push for much needed change!
